About us and our Villa

Since 2024 we have decided to open our new home to travelers from all over the world

About us

Tina, born in 1996, comes from the world of accounting and catering. In recent years she has managed a Cocktail&Wine Bar with her brother in Chiavari, her hometown, welcoming all types of visitors and becoming a certified sommelier.

In her free time she creates with her hands: whether embroidering with needle and thread, with a crochet hook or knotting ropes, she loves to give shape to her thoughts with her fingers and she dreams of sharing this passion with others too.

She’s also a certificated Environmental Guide and loves hiking around Punta Manara.

P.s. you might note a German name but Tina doesn’t speak any German but she’s fluent in English ans speak some French and Spanish.

Luca, born in 1993, worked in the university world obtaining a PhD in Digital Storytelling.

Now he’s dedicated himself full time to the family vineyard in Vernazza, in the Cinque Terre, where he produces the Eroico wine and accompanies tourists from all over the world through its rows, telling them the stories of the Ligurian landscapes and its wine.

He’s also a Environmental Guide and sommelier and he’s 100% raised in Sestri Levante so he knows all the local tips.

Our story and Villa Chicchi’s vision

With the pandemic we’ve begun to cultivate the idea of creating our own space, in which to welcome travelers embracing the vision of slow and sustainable tourism.

In 2021, thanks to the family of Tina, we renovated the old house of Grandpa Stefan: a house on the first hill overlooking the sea and surrounded by greenery. Both of us imagine for the house a vision of hospitality at 360°. We want to create a place where you can learn about the beauty of Liguria and its traditions, where you can cook traditional recipes and create craft workshops, where we can share the philosophy of slow tourism that gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in our world.

After tying the knots, we finally open the doors of Villa Chicchi to travelers who want to discover the charm of Sestri Levante and our territory.

“The secret to a good apple pie are apples”

Where are you?

Villa Chicchi is located on the beginning of the hill of Sestri Levante.

Just minutes from the historic center, Villa Chicchi offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the tranquility of the green hillside while always enjoying the view of the two seas of Sestri and the island.

Parking for cars and motorcycles is available at the property.

The historic center and beaches are 1.5 km from the villa and can be reached on foot in 20 minutes or by car or bicycle in 5 minutes.

The train station is 1 km from the Villa (a 15-minute walk) and there are daily trains to Cinque Terre, Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, and Genoa.

The highway exit is 2.4 km away (5 minutes by car).

Why "Villa Chicchi"?

Chicchi in our family is the nickname we give to Papà Nicola and it’s also the name of his faithful beagle: Chicchi Bau.

The Villa belonged to Nicola’s father, grandfather Stefan, and our name pays homage to dad: an entity always present in the Villa with the faithful Chicchi Bau at his side.

Together they took care for three years of all the restoration work of the house, the garden and the pool and the relative bureaucracy, solving all the slowdowns and problems that in these years have come out.

Villa Chicchi is waiting for you
